Planned Discontinuation of Inferno Resource Validator Service

The Inferno Resource Validator Service, a service hosted on inferno.healthit.gov/validator for validating individual FHIR® Resources to the base FHIR specification or specific FHIR Profiles, is planned to be discontinued in an upcoming update as soon as August 2026. Users may consider using other available services for FHIR Resource validation. One example of such a service as of July 2026 is the HL7® FHIR® Validator hosted on validator.fhir.org. Information about the HL7® FHIR® Validator, including its FHIR Resource validation capabilities, is available on the HL7® Confluence Pages. Questions and comments about the planned discontinuation of the Inferno Resource Validator Service may be submitted to the ONC Health IT Feedback and Inquiry Portal.
